Choose From 3 Levels of Education

Ä€yurvedic Health Counselor - Begins ONLINE January 2021

Level 1 Professional Training focusing on preventive, mind-body healthcare. The diploma program prepares students for a career as an Āyurvedic Health Counselor (AHC), offering diet and lifestyle support to individuals. Students receive 351 contact hours of theory and experiential learning during seven months of coursework (plus Clinical Practicum). Students attend one 3-day weekend a month (Thursday evening 5-7, plus Fri, Sat, Sun 6:30 am - 6 pm), plus Tuesday evenings (all month long) as well as one 3-hr. Sanskirt class a month - all live streaming online. At the end of the coursework, there is an additional 3 months of supervised clinical practicum. You can expect to spend 10 additional hours a week in additional assignments and homework.

Certificate: Āyurvedic Practitioner - Begins ONLINE October 2020

Level 2 Professional certificate training as an Āyurvedic Practitioner (C-AP) in lifestyle medicine and clinical disease management, with a scope of practice well beyond that of the Āyurvedic Health Counselor. This clinically oriented program follows the AHC and includes 12 months of course work (twelve 4-day weekend intensives), with monthly "live streaming" online sessions, followed by six months of hands-on supervised clinical practice. 1800 total hours. Time to completion - 18 months.

Master of Arts: Āyurveda - Begins ONLINE April 2021

Level 3 Master of Arts-Ä€yurveda is a graduate level degree program combining advanced clinical and academic training with an integrative approach to modern healthcare. MA program includes 10 months of coursework plus clinical practicums, research journal club, a Capstone project and final exam. The MA-Ä€yurveda program qualifies students for College level teaching, research and clinical specialization. 36 Credits. Time to completion - 18 months* *Students must have BA or BS and have completed either the first 6 months of C-AP at MMI or hold a C-AP certificate from MMI or another institution. If already C-AP certified, MA program is 4 months of coursework, research journal club, signature assignment completion, clinical practicums, research journal club, a Capstone project and final exam.

Ä€yurvedic Yoga Therapy Program

Mount Madonna Institute unites the principles of Yoga and Āyurveda into a new certificate program. Since the inception of Mount Madonna Center/Institute, Baba Hari Dass included the teachings and practices of these ancient sister sciences to promote healing and achieve a harmonious state of mind, body, senses and consciousness.

Upon completion of our 1000+ hour Āyurvedic Yoga Therapy (AYT) certificate program you will be able to design, implement, demonstrate, instruct and teach theory and practices which will enable a person to optimize her/his own healing process using the prakriti/vikruti framework of Āyurveda and the foundation of Yoga.

The Certificate - Āyurvedic Practitioner (C-AP) Program significantly builds on the foundational AHC Program. It is an exploration Ayush Living into classical texts, traditional clinical treatments, practices, and formulations…guiding the student to a deeper understanding of the 5,000 year old art and science of Āyurvedic medicine and philosophy.
